生了！卡雷家的金毛与拉布拉多混合的宝贝狗下了九个小生命！我还凑合着做了一次接生婆！
一只狗怀胎两个月，千辛万苦生下九只小狗，全家上下二十多个人忙呵的要命。一个星期以前已经准备好产房，接生婆，保安等等！生产当天，电话铃声响了不下五十次！接生婆（包括我）坐在“英雄母亲”的面前，眼睛不眨一下的伺候着。这个国外狗的生命就是不一般的重要啊！！！
不过看着小生命一个个的诞生，感觉真的非常奇妙！无论什么生物的母亲都是伟大的！

I kind of thought there was something about Ester’s manner, in pictures recently.
Now I think she was being shy, as a manner of a mother who wants not to be noticed, to protect the pups that will come.
Hope you are not working too hard. You and Carl never tell what work you do, so we can only guess. In these days, everyone has things to do, and they build the future whatever they are.
I am reading from time to time in ‘The Importance of Living’, which is not exactly what it sounds. It is by a famous two-cultures Chinese named Lin Yutang, and is his sometimes rather humourous and interesting way of introducing Chinese culture to the West, which he also knew well. It is from 1937, and I knew it from my father’s library.
